Certificate III In Basic Health Care

Students who receive Certificate III in Basic Health Care will also gain points toward their State or Territory Certificate of Education, learn Advanced First Aid, and will be able to successfully enter school-based traineeships. Included in this course are skills such as interpreting medical terminology, cultural safety for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander populations, and individualized support.

School requirements

  • Teacher or Trainer (program deliverer)

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or TAE40116). Available here >

  • Additional Health Work experience is encouraged but IS NOT ESSENTIAL.
