First Peoples Health Program

Connect ‘n’ Grow delivers the HLT20113 Certificate II in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care for Year 11 – 12 students as part of the First Peoples Health Program.

Students will gain Certificate II in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care when they participate in this program with Connect ‘n’ Grow. Infection control, health promotion and basic health checks are just a few of the skills gained by students in this program.

What students achieve



  • Certificate II in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (HLT20113)

  • First Aid qualification and CPR certificate

  • Points that will count towards your Senior Certificate

  • Pathway into school-based traineeships & Certificate III qualification

Connect ‘n’ Grow provides



  • HLT20113 Certificate II in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care RPL for Teachers

  • Annual resource induction for all participating teachers, inclusive of industry-specific and VET professional development

  • Ongoing Professional Development and in-servicing

  • Flexible format program delivery

  • ALL program materials are developed for you – including unit plans, assessment tasks, and marking guides. We save you time!

  • Access to program resources, learning, assessment and up to the minute student progress reporting.

  • First Aid - for school to deliver.



School Requirements



  • Teacher or Trainer (program deliverer)

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or TAE40116).

  • Health / HPE Teaching Experience

  • Additional Health Work experience is encouraged but IS NOT ESSENTIAL.
