In accordance with clauses 1.13 -1.16 of the ASQA Standards for RTOs 2015, in order to meet the Human Resource requirements for the delivery of a vocational education and training qualification, trainers must have:

  • vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed;
  • current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided; and
  • current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs their training and assessment.

Should you choose to enter into a partnership with Connect ‘n’ Grow, we offer a Teacher Accelerated Program to upskill teachers in qualifications they are to deliver.

Connect ‘n’ Grow recognises that as an Accredited Teacher you would have most, if not all of the skills and knowledge to demonstrate competency in the units required to complete the two qualifications.  Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) takes into account existing skills and knowledge you already have to fast-track competency for a vocational qualification or unit.  Evidence must be provided that you are competent and can demonstrate the skills and knowledge found in the national training package.

A short course has been developed which includes both knowledge and practical assessment and providing a Third Party Report by a current supervisor/manager.
